GENERAL INFORMATION
- Thymus citriodorus, the lemon thyme or citrus thyme, is a lemon-scented evergreen mat-forming perennial.
- There has been a great deal of confusion over the plant's correct name and origin.
- Growing lemon thyme plants are a lovely addition to an herb garden, rock garden or border, or as container plants.
- A popular herb grown not only for its culinary uses but for its attractive foliage, lemon thyme plants can be planted to form a ground cover or among pavers along a path or patio.
SOIL REQUIREMENT
- This herb is extremely tolerant of poor soil and drought conditions.
- It has no major insect or disease issues.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT
- Avoid too much nitrogen.
- If planted in fertile soil, perhaps with an organic time-release fertilizer, thyme should not need additional feeding.
LIGHT REQUIREMENT
- Thyme does best in full sun.
WATER REQUIREMENT
- Most varieties of thyme are drought-resistant, so only give a thorough watering, when the soil is completely dry.
