GENERAL INFORMATION

• Commonly known as Ficus Altissima or Asian Council Tree.
• Easily maintained as a potted plant by occasional grooming of the branches and aerial roots.
• Ficus has been shown to effectively remove gaseous formaldehyde from indoor air.
• The large leaves on the Ficus Altissima Golden Gem are a little like rubber plant which has wonderfully pale green veins that show up beautifully against the different shades of emerald of the leaf.

SOIL REQUIREMENT

• It enjoys a well-drained, general potting mix easily found at your local box store.
• Remember try to stay away from arid or wet, mucky soils.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT

• To help establish your new Asian Council Tree, fertilize sparingly ten inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time-released product.
• Unfertilized they will tend to grow at a slower pace.

LIGHT REQUIREMENT

• Medium Shade, Partial Shade, Partial Sun.

WATER REQUIREMENT

• Water thoroughly once per week and allow excess water to run out the drainage holes in the nursery pot or whichever vessel you transplant into, however, avoid overwatering.
• Water moderately.
