GENERAL INFORMATION
- The fiddle-leaf fig (Ficus Lyrata) is a popular indoor specimen plant featuring very large, heavily veined, violin-shaped leaves that grow upright.
- Each leaf has a stiff, leathery feel with a distinctive shape and pale, prominent veins.
- Ficus lLrata 'Compacta' is a handsome evergreen, with a lovely glossy sheen that reflects the light beautifully.
- Although it is a relatively slow-growing plant if given the correct growing conditions it will ultimately form a tall, slender specimen that makes a fine focal point for your home.
SOIL REQUIREMENT
- Loamy, medium moisture, well-draining potting soil is needed which could include part bark and perlite.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT
- Fertilize throughout the growing season with high-nitrogen plant food, following label instructions.
- There are fertilizers specially made for fiddle-leaf figs available.
LIGHT REQUIREMENT
- Bright indirect sunlight.
WATER REQUIREMENT
- Water them when the top inch of soil feels dry.
- If it gets too much water, the plant might drop its leaves and suffer from root rot, which ultimately can kill it.
