GENERAL INFORMATION

• Gomphrena globosa, commonly known as globe amaranth, is an edible plant from the family Amaranthaceae.
• The round-shaped flower inflorescences are a visually dominant feature and cultivars have been propagated to exhibit shades of magenta, purple, red, orange, white, pink, and lilac.

SOIL REQUIREMENT

• Plant them in well-drained soil during spring.
• It prefers soil with a pH range of about 5.8 to 6.2 and needs about 12 to 18 inches of space.

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT

• Fertilize the plant with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio such as 14-14-14 at planting.
