GENERAL INFORMATION
- The Ficus binnendijkii 'Amstel Gold' has attractive variegated golden/yellow leaves.
- Although a Ficus binnendijkii is closely related to the Ficus amstel king, the binnendijkii variety is much more tolerant and forgiving; it rarely sheds leaves, tolerates lower light, and allows you to move it around without going into shock.
- Ficus binnendijkii prefers dry environment
SOIL REQUIREMENT
- Ficus binnendijkii does best in well-draining soil. A good soil will contain lots of organic matter such as coco coir as well as perlite or vermiculite to help with drainage. Adding a handful of perlite to regular store-bought potting soil should do the trick!

FEEDING/FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT
- Ficus binnendijkii should be repotted after it doubles in size or once a year, whichever comes first.
- Fresh potting soil has all the nutrients your plant needs, so as long as it’s refreshed yearly.
- Fertilize lightly every 3 to 4 months
LIGHT REQUIREMENT
- Ficus binnendijkii requires abundant, bright and direct light. Place it less than one foot from a window to ensure it receives enough light to survive
WATER REQUIREMENT
- Water a Ficus binnendijkii when the top 1-2 inch of the soil has dried out.
- Water well so that excess water drains out the drip holes in the bottom of the pot.
