GENERAL INFORMATION
Suitable for most white fresh cut flowers for best color absorption

  • Instructions for use of flower dye: Choose fresh flowers and use them directly without adding water. If the flowers are relatively raw, condition them in water until they are slightly bloom and then dehydrate before placing them in the flower dye.

  • Dehydration: It is generally recommended to dehydrate for 3-5 hours. The dehydration time is long when the temperature is low, and the dehydration time is shortened when the temperature is high. To dehydrate, place the flowers in a waterless state. Flowers cut from trees such as peach blossoms do not need to be dehydrated and can be directly absorbed.

  • Absorbing color: Cut the stems of the flowers at an angle, pour the dye into a slender container, and submerge the incision by about 3-5 cm. Color absorption is fast when the temperature is high, generally about 0.5-3 hours. The color tone is proportional to time. The longer the color absorption time, the darker the color, and the shorter the time, the lighter the color.  When the appropriate color tone is achieved, take out the flowers, re-cut the stems, and put them in clear water for 2-4 hours. As there will be residual dye in the stems, the petals will continue to be colored during this period. Flowers absorb color mainly by their own transpiration, transferring the dye to the flower head. Mastering the appropriate dehydration time has a great influence on the color absorption effect.

  • Tips: Flowers have very different dyeing times under different temperature, humidity and openness. There is no fixed time. Please observe the whole process. The higher the indoor temperature, the faster and more uniform the coloring.
